Question Directions: Read the question below. Give yourself 30 minutes to plan, write, and revise your essay. Typically, an effective response will contain a minimum of 300 words.

Reading Time: 30 minutes

Question: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

Television advertising directed toward young children (aged two to five) should not be allowed.

Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Resolution:

It's remarkable that TV is present everywhere and has become important in our lives. We can get information and entertainment about many topics, including advertising content in the middle of it. These sources may be harmful to some age groups like those under 5 years old that do not have cognitive abilities developed enough.  That said, arises an issue of whether TV advertising directed at children should be allowed or not. I believe that is better to regulate them in order to have more control over everything the children see.

To start with, children aged between 2 and 5 years don't have the intellectual capacity completely developed to make better choices about many things. For instance, most kids believe what they hear and see, on the other hand, they might believe that an advertised service or product will really provide you with the benefits and pleasures that advertising promises, even though it is unreal or impossible. After all, it's an uneven way, in which those who advertise to children know what they are doing, while they do not know exactly what they are buying.

Moreover, most people think that should not ban this TV advertising, because they believe it to be a radical way to solve this problem. Of course, it would be better if your parents had some control over the child in order to supervise what is being watched instead. However, It is not what happens, so I guess that the government might make a regulation that includes rules such as the prohibition of advertisements directed toward young children containing language or suggestions that imply that they force their parents to consume their products or service.

In conclusion, all that was mentioned, I agree that television commercials should be banned by the government for children that aren't able to have discernment enough to decide what is good or bad for them.

That's It.

This is my third writing skill... It was very difficult for me because of the subject, but I got it!!!
